Science You Can Read

Air Quality & Mold Testing

Precise, non-destructive testing that tells you exactly what's in your air, with results explained in plain language.

How Our Testing Works

Four calm, careful steps take you from uncertainty to a clear plan, usually in a single visit plus a short lab turnaround.

01

Visual Walkthrough

We start by listening. You show us what you've noticed, and we methodically inspect the spaces most prone to moisture: basements, bathrooms, attics, and around HVAC equipment.

Air & Surface Sampling

Spore-trap air samples and targeted surface swabs capture what's actually in your air. Samples go to an accredited independent lab, so the results are objective, not a sales pitch.

03

Thermal & Moisture Imaging

Thermal imaging reveals temperature differences that hint at hidden moisture, and calibrated meters confirm it, all without cutting a single hole in your wall.

Clear, Honest Reporting

You receive a report written for a homeowner, not a lab tech: what we found, what it means for your family, and exactly what (if anything) you should do next.

Start With a Clear Baseline

Whether you smell something off or simply want peace of mind, a baseline test is the calmest first step.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a mold air quality test actually measure? +

An air quality test measures the type and concentration of mold spores in your indoor air and compares them to outdoor baseline levels. Elevated indoor counts, or species that shouldn't be present, indicate a hidden moisture source worth addressing.

How accurate is non-destructive testing? +

Very. Combining lab-analyzed air sampling with thermal imaging and moisture meters lets us locate and confirm hidden moisture without opening walls. In the rare case a wall cavity needs direct inspection, we discuss it with you first.

When should I get my home's air tested? +

Test after any water intrusion, if you notice a persistent musty odor, before or after buying a home, or when family members have unexplained respiratory symptoms. Older Detroit-area homes and tightly sealed new builds both benefit from a baseline test.

How soon will I get results? +

On-site findings are shared the same day. Lab-analyzed air samples typically return within a few business days, and we walk you through the full report so nothing is left unclear.
